The National Agency for Food and Drug Administration and Control, NAFDAC would henceforth arrest and prosecute landlords that rent their ware houses to importers of fake drugs.
The Director General of NAFDAC, Dr Paul Orhi, stated this while parading an importer of fake drugs before newsmen in Lagos.
Dr Orhi alleged that the accused person connived with some clearing agents at the Tin Can Island Port to ship in fake pharmaceutical products.
Dr Orhi pointed out that the fake products worth over one hundred million naira were intercepted, following a tip off.
In an interview with Radio Nigeria, the suspect said his accomplices based in China assisted him in faking the products.
Radio Nigeria correspondent reports that some of the fake products were labeled made in Nigeria.
Some of the counterfeit medicines discovered and impounded are skineal cream, funbact- A cream, Neurogesic ointment, Rough Rider condom, Iman luxury powder and heal balm.
