Jonathan says Terror cannot break Nigeria

President Goodluck Jonathan has expressed optimism that Nigeria will remain united regardless of the challenges of the spate of terrorist activities in the country.

This is even as he declared that power outage in the country would be a thing of the past by next year because efforts were on top gear to stem out the embarrassing trend.

The President was speaking during the Easter Sunday service at Our Saviour’s Church, Marina, Lagos.

“We have challenges as a nation, especially theses days of terrorism. We are working very hard to make sure that terrorism did not divide Nigeria.

“We have challenges as a nation but we must go where we want to go. As a president I promise I’ll do my best. We promise that we’ll stabilize power in this country. God willing, next year they will not take light again,” said the President.

Jonathan observed that the effects of the spate of terrorist attacks in the country could have been more devastating but for the fervent prayers of Nigerians for the peace and stability of the country, urging that the zeal should not be compromised.
